Founded by Geneva-based designer Emel, Vesper creates timeless silk scarves rooted in heritage, artistry, and refined craftsmanship. Inspired by richly layered visual traditions and intricate historical aesthetics, each design reflects a considered approach to pattern, composition, and storytelling.
Designed between Geneva and London, and crafted entirely in Türkiye, a land with a long-standing silk-making tradition, Vesper brings together time-honoured techniques with a contemporary sensibility. Each piece is developed with intention, balancing historical influence with a modern perspective.
Vesper scarves are created for those who value quiet luxury, where craftsmanship, culture, and meaning come together as an enduring form of storytelling.
Timeless Luxury, Ethical Craftsmanship
At Vesper, we believe true luxury resides in craftsmanship, heritage, and ethical responsibility. Each silk scarf is meticulously crafted from 100% organic silk, woven, printed, and finished in Türkiye using sustainable techniques that honour both tradition and the environment. Designed between Geneva and London, every piece reflects a considered balance of artistry and intention.
Rooted in a perspective shaped across Istanbul, London, and Geneva, Vesper embodies a dialogue between cultures. Much like Istanbul itself, where Ottoman heritage, European influence, and contemporary life coexist, each design brings together histories, geographies, and artistic traditions into a singular visual language.
A Cultural Dialogue Through Design
Vesper’s creative vision is shaped by a transnational perspective, one that moves fluidly between places, histories, and identities. This sensibility is expressed through prints that draw from Ottoman artistry, European aesthetics, and contemporary references, creating compositions that feel both timeless and current.
Each scarf becomes a meeting point between past and present, East and West, memory and modernity. Rather than belonging to a single tradition, Vesper exists in the space between, offering a refined and thoughtful interpretation of cultural continuity.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is integral to every stage of the Vesper design process. Our silk is responsibly sourced through organic practices, selected to minimise environmental impact while preserving the exceptional quality expected by our discerning clientele. We use dyes that meet the highest environmental and safety standards, alongside low-water dyeing techniques and advanced purification systems that reduce waste and protect natural resources.
Exceptional Craftsmanship & Ethical Labour
Every Vesper scarf is hand-finished with rolled hems, a meticulous and time-honoured technique that reflects generations of artisanal knowledge.
As part of our commitment to responsibility, we work with trusted local partners to support over 300 women in rural communities in Türkiye. From their homes, they practice the art of traditional hand stitching, transforming time, care, and quiet dedication into refined craftsmanship.
Each piece carries not only the mark of skilled hands, but also a deeper sense of purpose, creating meaningful opportunities for women to contribute to their households while preserving a heritage rooted in culture.
From weaving to printing and finishing, all stages of production take place in Türkiye, where our partners uphold strict ethical standards, including fair wages, healthcare, and safe working conditions. We believe that true luxury is inseparable from the well-being of the people who create it.
Why Vesper
Vesper scarves are more than accessories. They are expressions of heritage, artistry, and conscious luxury. Designed for those who value depth as much as beauty, each piece reflects a world shaped by movement, connection, and cultural exchange.
Each scarf is an expression of culture in motion.
