Emel is a fashion print designer based in Geneva, with roots in both London and Istanbul. Her passion for art and fashion began in Istanbul, where she first discovered her creative voice, before moving to London to earn her master’s degree at the London College of Fashion, supported by a grant from the Turkish Ministry of Economics.
Throughout her career, Emel has had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands like Hakaan and work with prestigious clients, including Harrods and Amazon. Her designs have received international acclaim, including an award from Fendi in a fur-making design competition.
In 2025, Emel relocated to Geneva, where she continues to fuse her cultural influences with modern design. Inspired by color and intricate detail, her work often draws on Ottoman heritage and global artistic traditions, transforming them into unique, wearable pieces.
As the founder of Vesper, Emel creates 100% silk scarves that beautifully combine timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design. Each scarf is woven and printed with care, featuring hand-rolled hems crafted by skilled local women artisans, ensuring every piece is of the highest quality.
Emel’s designs are about creating timeless pieces that transcend trends, offering colorful stories to wear or gift someone special.
